Kyō Mei is Japanese for "resonance"; in the sense of being in tune, on the same wavelength. Shi-Atsu means "finger-pressure". The techniques and philosophy of Shiatsu derive from Traditional Chinese Medicine and Zen Buddhism.
You experience an intensive acupressure massage with stretches and rotation of the joints. Touching the pathways of energy (meridians) and their pressure points (tsubos) allows your body's capacity for self-healing to be activated to address problems with organs and the central nervous system. The course of treatment and choice of technique are planned individually, according to your current needs. Deep breathing. Intensive relaxation. Intensified contact with your inner self.
